A History of the Seanchanni People

Written by Matrim Edward Hakor, on behalf of all the people of Alkor.

Published in Valikorlia City, Kingdom of Valikorlia by his Majesty Gwydion Xanthica's blessing.

EARLY HISTORY

The earliest history of our people is wrapped in myths and legends however what we do know is once the Seanchanni where but one of many tribes of Elves from Alkor. It is known that prior to the tribes a great civilization thrived on Alkor, and the capital of this Empire of Elves was the now lost city of Alkoria. Most tribes aside from the Seanchanni have no remaining records however it is known that the Avariel tribe would fly on the giant eagle like creatures across the skies. The Eldar tribe remains nothing but a name in the records. It is known that this is the location where Strife ‘Lonewolf’ Katrana began his adventures.

The Drow Wars

One day an army of invaders from the distant mainland sailed to Alkor and began to attack the tribes. One by one they fell until only the Seanchanni remained. The Lonewolf led this ragtag group of Elves to fight against The Army of Darkness and became victorious. Thousands of years passed in peace on Alkor, until the land was rediscovered.

The New Generation

A new generation of Seanchanni where born in the time right before the Armies of Tarus arrived to cause chaos. These Elves included Matrim, Sarah, Leon, and Rand Hakor,Lheao, Vigarus Aeron and Amarlith Aeron. They would in the end become the new leaders of Alkor for Tarus soon arrived, about 15 years after the last of this generation was born. Amarlith the Brave was a world reknown hero and Matrim was well known in the political world of Kharlia.

Tarus, "The Dark God"

I will write this in a personal manner as I was there. Here reads the account of Matrim Hakor, taken from my very journal. "I came outside to go fishing with Lhaeo[Councilman] and Amarlith[Commander] when I noticed a fleet approaching led by a dark haired crazed eyed man. I knew who he was…Tarus…a man who dared to think of himself as a god. I rang the alarm bell and we assembled ourselves. Strife gave us an amazing speech. "I know you are frightened, but we have a purpose. Our purpose is to protect our way of life. Be glad that you have this purpose, for if one has no purpose can one truly exist, or are they merely a shadow of their former self?" We cheered as he finished and we ran to meet the enemy screaming our immortal battle cry. "AIIEEEEE, Dakoa Seanchanni Ramo!!!" which means Ah, Forever will the Seanchanni Thrive. We met the enemy in battle and I managed to bring down many of his men. However..time froze as I saw Tarus run my sister threw. Enraged I ran at him and tried to fight him. The actual battle is hard to remember, however I woke up on the ground, my face covered with blood…so many dead…our village burning. The few of us survived sailed away. We are the survivors of the Alkorian Masscre." The accounts of that day also state that the trees grabbed the children and took them to safety once the bell rang. Also many people where heroic. If not for Amarlith taking an arrow then Leon would have died in the battle. Lhaeo disappeared soon after the battle but he took down twenty orcs! The world never did forget the bravely of the Seanchanni jn the face of the evilest man who ever lived. It is reported that the trees picked up the children because of Amarlith’s amazing magical skills but there is no way to know completely.

Rebirth

About ten years later we decided to rise up once more. Amarlith Aeron met up with me and we decided it was time to return. And thus the Seanchanni Council was formed. The members of it were Amarlith and Vigarus Aeron and Matrim Hakor. Many Elves began joining this rag tag group of elves in the hope that they would one day become a nation. However, this dream would not arise anytime soon. Soon the world was flooded and almost all was lost, however, the Seanchanni managed to get aboard a ship.

From the Ashes

The Seanchanni were spilt up around the world. While Amarlith the Brave was living In Bridgeton, Matrim was exploring the world with his wife and two children. Fourty Five years would pass before Matrim saw his friends again. However, he finally did return. Along with him came his son Strife and daughter Michi. There were also many other children born during this long period including Vardamir Musaki, son of Moto Musaki who soon joined the Seanchanni in hopes of living his deceased father’s dreams. At the moment we are attempting to return to Alkor. The result is currently unknown. Things will be updated when this chapter is completed.

May the Seanchanni Ever Last
