The Journal

Early Winter:

My name is Aiden Hakor. I am living in a small cottage in a rather isolated forest.. I have chosen to part from society, as the inhabitants of this land are a wicked and selfish lot. With the snow comming in, I've had to alter not only my route but my diet. The vegetation around my home has all but withered away and, to my dismay, I've had to turn to hunting. I've found small paw prints, most likely from a hare, nearby and set up a snare trap. Hopefully it's death is switft, and painless.

I went to check the snare, but wasn't able to find it. I hadnt' mentioned earlier, but I haven't eaten in three days. My stomach aches.

Mid-Winter

I didn't expect this winter to be so harsh. Today, I'll need* to search for food more thoroughly. Anything. My stomach aches..

I've returned from my search for food and, though I didn't find food, I did find something rather perculiar. A sword that's unbearably cold to the touch and, though I'm sure it's an old blade, hasn't lost it's edge.

I don't know if I should be alarmed but, when I grasped the sword's hilt, I felt an odd sensation. I think it's just my hunger getting to me... I should lay down. My stomach aches..

  • The word need is written with hard strokes, and actually seems 'bold.'

A Torn Page

There's no title for the page, nothing to serve as a title, and the handwriting has lost it's style. Instead of scripture, the words are more scratchy. The way they're written is almost as haunting as the words themselves.
I must heed this voice's call, and let nothing get in my way. I will murder, pillage, desecrate. Anything. For this is my duty.
I am Frosthowl!
The rest of the page is torn, carelessly.

OOC stuff, and the like.

As a Deathknight, Frosthowl has these flaws/bonuses and is a master warrior.

Abilities

Human statistics: Unlike most Elves, Aiden was not graceful and agile in life. He was trained in sword, spear, mace, hammer, a vast assortment of melee weapons, and armor; thusly is more like a Human than an Elf.
Tracking: Aiden was, and still is, adept at finding tracks in dirt, sand, snow, mud, and other forms of earth.
Expert Riding: In life, Aiden was an exceptional horse tamer and rider. This trait carried over into his Undeath and, Frosthowl, is able to ride his undead steed with great prowess in and out of combat.

Equipment

Chillrend, the Edge of Ruin: An Abyssal Blade, previously owned by another Deathknight. The blade itself is shaped like a Broadsword, with slightly barbed edges. It is adorned with intricate runes, that run down it's flat side and meet a skull hilt. The blade has been enchanted with Frost magic and, as such, deals Frost Damage. It also has never, and will never, lose it's razor-sharp edge. As an Abyssal Blade, it is able to collect souls of the Death Knight's slain advisaries.
Aiden's Cofin: Blackish Blue, runed, platemail. It bares many intricate designs, many appearing to be demon-looking skulls and such. The entire suite is cold to the touch, even during the heat of day. It is considered full plate. The armor has frozen over completely. Along with the breastplate are a pair of large dark iron skull pauldrons, from which frosty vapors escape the eyesockets, and plate leggings which are likewise frozen over.
Petunia: A Jet-Black mare, with a partially exposed ribcage and vacant (literatlly) eyes. It is reported to have icy vapors escaping it's empty eyesockets and that, where it trots, the grass withers and dies.
