History

Early Life: Before the Five Year Advancement

At a young age, Clovis lived in a rural community. He speculates Taron, but has no knowledge of its existence. The only significant story at the time was when he massacred a farm of pigs, sheep, and one blind cat. Playing a game with friends, his imagination went haywire leading to the illusioning of each farm animal as an imp. He ran from the village when the farmer chased him, and lost his way when attempting to return.

City Life?

Living off the forest for a few days, Clovis soon after ran into the Greendale walls. He hadn't ever lived in a city before, and the cluster of buildings gave the area a rather charming perspective in his eyes. The villagers in his community tended to be rather laid back; therefore his first action was to gather all the 'free' food he saw on the merchant stands. The guards threw him out not once, but twice due to his age too young as punishable. Clovis took being thrown out too personally as he had no idea what the reason was, and assuming the whole city hated him. He took off back into the forest.

Scrutiny at Staghorn Forest (The Five Year Epic)

During the five year time period in which Clovis stayed at Staghorn Forest, many natural effects, positive and negative, came into play. He learned the basics of survival in the forest, where on a consistent basis had to use a crossbow, swim, climb, and stealth to survive in the forest. At the same time however, Clovis began talking to himself and trees; through the time too, he was essentially poor due to the lack of skinning ability. He seldom visited the Crossroads/Dragons Blood Inn, as to restock supplies in exchange for an animal body; but other then that, he grew an anxiety over some people and cities. The extent became so bad that Clovis would have to talk to himself (and trees) for an hour before ready to reenter a DBI.

Insanities Incursion

Weeks after living in the forest for five years, Clovis gathered what courage he had and talked to someone outside of bartering; he helped Jugatse Oleashea find a sword, the Gladius, which he said the person would love the first thing he or she saw for X amount of time upon swing. He proved himself virtually worthless during the trip as he lacked a shovel and never had visited Laboo; during the duration, Clovis just made attempts to look 'professional' by throwing rocks and searching behind trees. When the sword was found, Clovis, having barely seen magic in his life, doubted the effect of the sword instantly. The swords effect displayed insanity of Dougal when Jugatse attempted the effect upon him.

First Strike

After being love struck the first time, his sights set on a tree way out in the distance. Clovis made attempts to get to the tree fast, illusioning a bridge of branches formed in which one could walk to the tree; instead, Clovis tripped down a hill while Jug assisted him from fatal collision. The fact that by the end of the duration Clovis wasn't able to reach the tree, he felt depressed at the end considering it was the answer of life in which he missed. The feeling of mystery created a desire to be struck again so together they could find the answer. A desperate session of enthusiastic begging began, and was ultimately successful in being swung at again; but where would his eyes lay upon first this time?

Second Strike

The sky? Once again, Clovis saw something in which there was no dice to reach in even extended time. The bounce of his step was proven worthless when Clovis attempted to jump toward the sky; Jug joined along proving how blind Clovis was to his ridiculous idea. To make the issue worse, the idea of flying appeared true as Clovis attempted to run, jumping off a cliff while holding Jugs hand; however, he just ended up crashing into a tree by himself, dead cold.

Dougals Refinement: The Return to Civilization

Not really an initial refinement, considering the prime persuasion in moving outside the Staghorn Forest region was to find "The Gladius". He managed to talk to citizens againin order to find the sword again; the journey, however, took him straight back to Staghorn Forest, where he fought a troll with Jug. From a distance, Clovis helped by shooting the troll with crossbow only helping Jug because the location of the sword may be lost. When the troll fled to the forests, Jug took off where hope became lost again to find "The Gladius".

Third Strike

Living back in Staghorn for the next couple weeks, developing into a more cruel character seemed only natural: Jug was untrackable again, Clovis returned by himself, and the answer Clovis sought in "The Gladius" wasn't yet discovered. The only problem was that Clovis' crueler character turned out to be another side of him; Insane? Yes. An attempt was made to go back to the spawn of the sword in Laboo, but to Clovis' amazement, Jug was sitting along the path. A long dialogue occurred, where Clovis consistently changed sides, contemplating whether or not to kill Jug or ask for a swing. His bayonet was drawn, and along a charge toward Jug, one of Jugs friends managed to apprehend Clovis. Despite Clovis' unpredictable intentions too, Jug stood willing to deliver the effects once more. This swing proved to be the strangest, achievable, and create create a magic effect on Clovis. His eyes laid upon Jug, yes Jugatse Oleashea. An extensive period of hugging, worshipping, and declothing (only Clovis took his cloak off to give) occurred. And that's as descriptive as this portion is going to be. After the 20 minutes, anyways, the third swing of the sword created an unquestionable obedience from Clovis toward Jug. And considering Clovis was able to achieve the love in which he saw initially, he exited a happy customer.

The Unseen Initiation

Returning to city life, Clovis joined the Unseen as a means to make friends; he at first only processed that everyone in the faction was a social outcast too, not thieves, killers, vampires, and all that jazz. Wearing a hood, one of the members mistaked him for a blackmarket dealer, which is how he came to find out upon the faction. Even during the first day, Clovis didn't fit into the faction well... at all. A vampire told him that he not only didn't fit, but to avoid nearing the vampire lair in the Undercity. The only thing that he ever did in the Undercity was count crossbow bolts, at a four person table, by himself. To try and make an initial reputation boost, he ventured down to the vampire lair; however, Vaegotha Xavier humiliated him before Clovis made it past the first room.

Become a traitor or die?

After a couple weeks, Clovis met Ebra Conaway not once, but twice in Staghorn Forest. Both times, he scared away an animal Clovis was hunting. Ebra made the proposition for Clovis to help the Inquisition by being a spy toward the Unseen; the proposition turned out to be more of a forced deal, anyways, when Ebra required Clovis to follow or be shot. Questioning whether to give in to the Inquisition, Clovis just stated mostly worthless information toward the head; however, he accidentally told him the headquarters were in the capital. Through the inability to provide legit information, Dougal found himself forced to stay in Ganelon until further notice. That bastard, Ebra, threatened to tell the Unseen and create hostility toward the Inquisition and Clovis if he left (Ebra became a girl though, so it all worked out).

Returning to society? More of a long overdue punishment

After months of talking to a wall in Ganelon, Clovis was let go only to stumble upon an Unseen member that day. Miraculously, no one in the Unseen found out; but the fact the Inquisition acted as if the Unseen had eyes everywhere, Clovis became afraid of how to act toward the Drow. And Clovis blew it, the Drow felt something wrong to the extent that he forced him back to the Undercity; all information about his time with the Inquisition found out. Thankfully (sort of), the Unseen threw Clovis in a pre-blood dripping room to have a "mind devourer" tear the last three months of information from Clovis' head. Obviously, this was to have him forget everything about the Unseen. With a torn, blood dripping cloak, they threw him out into the alleys of the capital city.

Insanities Return

Zerome, the Drow that took Clovis in, thought Clovis was killed at this time, spreading the news of his death. Clovis, however, had escaped back to Staghorn Forest where his mind shifted back to thinking the answer of life could be found by the using of the sword, "The Gladius". The problem was that he forgot that it required that specific sword to see "the answer" again. For months while most considered Clovis dead, he had been in the forest gathering sword in which to cut himself with; obviously he did this to experience the magic effect.

Currently, he still resides in the forest, contemplating whether the answer exists. He's been back at an anxiety state, talking to himself again on a frequent basis.

OOC Notes

My writing is more of a historical analysis and not a story. So, I wouldn't read my article expecting anything entertaining. Thanks for skipping to the end, Ekeh Mayu. =)
