Personality
Easygoing. Impulsive. Gentlemanly. Charismatic. Always willing to lend a hand or throw in his lot, unable to keep still, and level-headed enough to see both sides of a viewpoint. His social skills are very refined, enough to knock arms with nobles and socialites, but lowbrow enough to be able to saddle up to a bar and have fun with friends.
Among continental Valikorlians, he is seen as an outsider, more Suirikun than not, mysterious, eloquent, and foreign. Among Suirikuns he is seen as more of a Westerner, boorish and unrefined.

In combat, Daisuke takes to fighting with his fists, short swords, and knives, usually resorting to melee combat before taking to a blade. His medium armor and plated extremities allow him to take and give heavy blows. Grabbing and deflecting weapons with just gauntleted hands is second nature to him.
He is known for his sharp mind and excellent reflexes; Even with his gauntlets he can smack slow-flying projectiles right out of the air. As a scholar, diplomat, and economist, he's remarkably book-smart for a brawler. As a sailor, he is versed in nautical skills and is a skilled medic.
As of late he has finally become proficient in channeling mana and is sharpening his skill in the arcane.

- The mage conjures a weapon of their choice, out of crystallized mana.
- The allowed mass/complexity of the weapon is based on your rank in the spell.
- Ex.: Rank 1: Simple dagger. Rank 2: Dagger with pommel. Rank 3: Spiked trench knife.
- Ex.: Rank 1: Throwing axes. Rank 2: Medium battle axe. Rank 3: Crescent axe polearm.
- One turn is taken to create the weapon. Afterwards, the weapon can be used as is seen fit.
- After 12 IC hours, the weapon dissipates.
- Details:
- The spell uses a verbal component alongside a somatic component: While chanting, the mage draws an imaginary weapon. The weapon "grows" out of their grip while they draw it.
- Once fully cast, the weapon is a solid, physical object. It can be given to someone else, it can be thrown, it can be picked back up, it can break - same as a regular weapon.
- Ammunition for ranged weapons can be crafted.
- Ex.: Rank 1: Slingshot bullets. Rank 2: Crossbow bolts. Rank 3: Harkbus bullets.
- In lieu of a larger weapon, several smaller ones can be made.
- Ex.: A short sword, or five throwing knives.
- The color of the crystals is dependent on the user.

Equipment
Daisuke's Empyrian wealth was not spent frivolously. That's a shame, too, because now it mostly sits unspent at the bottom of the damn ocean. The weapons and armor he did buy are well-kept workhorses that have withstood the test of time and mesh well with more modern equipment.
Katana: A Suirikun original -- handcrafted, unbroken folded steel. It's even older than he is and he rarely uses it.
Jutte: A blunt-tipped defensive weapon of Suirikun origin used for parrying.
Throwing Knives: Not all Suirikuns use shuriken! Daisuke carries ten knives -- eight set in his belt, spaced in such a fashion that he can easily grab a handful and send a wall of metal flying at someone. Two sit in his boots, sawtoothed and usable for utility purposes.
Armor: Wearing a mixture of light and medium armor, Daisuke wears either half-plate or just a tunic underneath a blue overcoat, mixed with light boots, plate greaves and gauntlets, and his personal bandanna which serves no purpose other than to make him look like a total badass.
Shield: His tower shield, solid metal and emblazoned with the Empyrian anchor, is as durable as the rest of him. It's nearly as big as he is, and he's been carrying it on his back ever since he was a teenager. While a little unieldy, he has the carrying strap rigged with quick-release snaps to allow him to remove it for quick use or to doff the weight.
Pack: A Kharlian precursor to the fanny pack, kept where it's supposed to be -- in the small of his back. He keeps a field medic's kit and a small cache of survival supplies. Always pays to be prepared!
