When the ball is large enough (after 2 turns) the Mage claps his hands together, and the ball explodes into a very bright light. Anyone within 10 feet of the mage will be blinded for at least 1 turn, without covering their eyes, the mage included. The ball may be held indefinitely, as long as the mage continues to concentrate.

The Ethereal plane is co-existent with the mortal realm, and you can move about as if you were in the Mortal Realm, there is, however, no true concept of gravity, and thus you can move in any direction you please, up and down included. (though to avoid metagaming, you are placed back on the ground when you shift back) Through simple concentration, you can shift back into the mortal realm.

Character
Important notes on character:
1. Due to an injury recieved while fighting a rebellion, Dart's right shoulder sometimes gives him trouble.
2. Dart owns a house in Tower Town.
3. Dart is basically a "Battle-Mage" being much more mage than swordsman.
Personality
Perceived by his comrades as a kind, and good friend, Dart fulfills this with nearly everyone he meets. His previous experiences in fighting have made him a strong fighter, even sought by some as a teacher, however he tires of fighting. When he was young, he was strictly a swordsman, but as he grew older, he began to dabble in the ways of magic, and now he is primarily a Mage, his sword being only a tool to him now. He is a noble man, and opposes any and all tyranny, even once planning a mutiny to overthrow a tyrant. He is known to some as a maker of peace, often leading talks between arguing people, and remaining calm in the midst of chaos.
Equipment
Longsword/Shield: Some time after Dart sold his original combo to a blacksmith, he commissioned another forged. The sword is nothing special. The shield is beautifully decorated with a design.
Seiken: Dart's family weapon that he vowed to use on his father's killer. Named after the first of Dart's ancestors who wielded the blade. The Sheath is decorated very elaborately, and bears the family crest of the Eriseiken's. The blade has been blessed by monks and priests over the years, making it a holy blade. Dart now carries this blade as a secondary weapon, if he carries it at all.
Flasks: Dart's flasks that he carries with him. One is usually filled with some drinking alcohol, the other is filled with a medicinal numbing alcohol.
Vials: Dart keeps on his person a small assortment of vials, all filled with potions for healing.
Tent: A light-weight, versatile tent, that can be quickly set up and torn down.
Clothing
Suit: A black formal suit that Dart wears often.
"Mage" Robes: A magical recoloring of his suit. Using his Arcane magics, Dart creates an illusion of an orange-tinted suit, with a 'mana flow' that runs along the lining of his coat.
Traveler's Clothes: A very light leather chest-piece, comfortable traveling pants, gloves, and a red cape of sorts.
Armor: Something of Dart's that is rarely worn anymore. His own version of the Dalmarite armor he wore during his time in the Dalmar military. Plate armor, a modified helmet, and shoulder pads. "Royal" cape included.
Peacekeeper Attire: Dart's personalized peacekeeper clothes include a modified cloak and an old, beaten pauldron and beret.
Other Items
Justiciar's Cross: Award given to Dart during his time in the Second Valikorlian Empire's military. Hidden in a magically sealed chest in his house in Tower Town.
Valikorlian Armor: Dart's armor from when he was enlisted in the Valikorlian Military. Rests in a cabinet in Dart's house.
Dalmarite Armor: Dart's armor from when he was enlisted in the Dalmarite Military. Stays by the Valikorlian armor, in the same large cabinet.
Family Crest: A badge boasting the crest of the Eriseiken's. Given to him by his sister, as she died. It is slightly stained with her blood. He keeps it on him at all times. A shield-like badge with a sword crossing a quill pen in the background, and a calligraphic E in the foreground.
Factions
The Maverick- Dart is a co-founder and high-ranking crewman aboard The Maverick.
The Peacekeepers- Once a grunt, then an officer, and now the Leader of the Peacekeepers.
History
Youth
Dart Eriseiken was born to a long line of warriors hailing from Celdin. He lived happily with his mother, father and younger sister, until his mother died in childbirth with his younger brother- who died of illness shortly after, leaving Dart, his father, and his sister alone. Aside from that, his youth was fairly problem-free, and he was taught in one of the best schools in the nation...Until disaster struck. While on his way home, he overheard two guards talking...About his father. They said that he had been convicted of high treason, and that the Celdin Nation had sent an assassin after him.
Dart returned home too late. His father lay dying in a pool of blood, coughing and choking. With his last breath, he instructed Dart to take the family sword and to flee to Laboo, where he would find a man named Serin Gauntlet, who would be able to train him. His father passed away in his arms. Dart presumed his sister was killed with his father, because she always got home about an hour before him. He never thought to check inside the house or at any of her friend's, because the sword was in his father's hands. Cursing, Dart knew that his father had been set up. He fled Celdin as fast as he could, worried that the assassins would be after him next.
"My childhood was good, until..."
Training
Sure enough, in Laboo he found the hut of a middle-aged swordsman named Serin. Serin had owed his father a favor, and he was more than willing to fulfill his dying wish- to train Dart as a warrior.
Dart and Serin trained for many months, the memory of the state's betrayal and the injustice on his father fresh in his head. He vowed on his parent's graves to find out who set them up, and how.
Training was hard, but each day Dart learned more and more of the ways of the sword. He refrained from using the family sword, instead wielding a scimitar that he found suited him perfectly. When his training was finally complete, Serin wished his apprentice luck, and offered him a masterwork Scimitar, which Dart happily accepted.
"My teacher was a determined man. Determined to train his students well, to not be bested by his students, and to never remember to shave."
Wandering
For many years after training with Serin, Dart wandered alone looking for the murderers of his father. It was during this time that he trained his ears to pick up even the slightest sound, and learned most of his survival skills. Dart learned much during his wanderings including fishing, hunting, disguise, and much more. During this time, he also mapped off much of Kharlia, including the former West Forest, Vertigo, and even some of the Valorian Clearing.
"I've been about the land. Would you like to join me on my next quest?"
Bounty Hunting and Allies
Taking a job as a bounty hunter, Dart soon rose among the ranks of trust in Kharlia, respected and recognized by many other mercenaries. His search for the conspirators and the assassin is still on going, he will not rest until their heads are in his hands. His reputation for killing quick earned him the title of Swiftblade.
His allies include Dusk Requiem and more notably Merku Arine. Dart and Merku hang around Greendale a lot, as it houses their favorite pub. In Greendale, which is occupied by Celdin, Dart must disguise himself as a mage, dressed in white robes. Iorlis is also a favorite hangout for these two, because it conveniently supplies a house and chicken, and Dart does not have to worry about Celdin finding him there. Almost any occasion is an occasion to drink to with these companions, which usually results in a spiking increase of income for one of the local pubs, and with Merku dragging Dart back to a house, a rented room, or to Iorlis.
"I tire of the life of being the bringer of the end of it."
Return to Bounty Hunting
With his name cleared and his father avenged Dart left his companions Merku and Dusk to their own journeys. With Kulien dead Merku was left to recover, as was Dusk. Dart wandered around Kharlia aimlessly for months until he ran out of money and was forced to move back into the bounty hunting business, however being out of bounty hunting for so long had cost him much of his reputation, and finding good work was much harder than he would have wished. Although some people were glad to hire the Swiftblade, Dart still barely got by.
After chasing one hit across most of Kharlia the chase ran to the sea. Having no boat of his own, Dart was forced to pay for a ship to chase the man. However, without his knowing, the boat was a ship being chased by Celdin. The Celdin vessel caught up with the boat Dart was on and it was sunk. Having barely escaped a blast, Dart had grabbed hold of a floating piece of debris. When he awoke he was lying on the bay of Port Wolfe. It was there that he found out he had been adrift for a week. He could not return to Bounty Hunting. He had lost a big hit and would be blacklisted.
So to make ends meet he had gotten a job working at an engineers workshop. Here he learned many new skills, and tricks. He began to miss his old companions, so he saved up some money and went off looking for them. The second time that he had turned to wandering.
"Tired or not, being the bringer of the end of lives pays well enough to live on."
The Black Phoenix
During his travels as a wanderer he visited many villages and people began to know him. People in villages ahead of him knew who he was, and what his quest was. They knew he was searching for old friends. People began to call him by a different name. Because his hair and red headband reminded them of fire, and his black cloak, when it blew in the breeze, reminded them of wings, people began to call him the Black Phoenix. People both loved and hated him, because of rumors that had emerged, most of them just that, rumors. People in one place would have held a feast for him, while in another the women would quickly pick up their children and take them inside when they saw him approaching town, while the men would take up arms against him. He would never draw his sword on them. He would only guard himself with his shield. He had at some point in this time began to wear a black mask, a shroud one could say that covered his mouth and nose. This further added to the mystery of the Black Phoenix. Through all the hatred and praise he still continued on his quest. His quest to find his lost friends. Or was it, perhaps, that he was the lost one, and his friends were out looking for him? He hardly knew anymore, but he keeps on searching.
"They praise and attack me. They glorify and are horrified of me. I wonder about both our sanities...theirs, for being so fickle, and mine, for not being fickle enough."
The Peacekeepers
Dart joined the Peacekeepers at about the same time he enlisted in the Celdin army. He had opened the door to the Black Dragon Inn, owned by the head Peacekeeper Asid Mjolnir, and in doing so, accidentally broke the lock in the door. After talking with Asid, he became a Peacekeeper, who were, at the time, aiding Celdin in the war.
Following the victory of Celdin the Peacekeepers became more independent, doing their own jobs, for the protection of the people. Their creed at the time was (and still is): "I am a Peacekeeper, a servant of the people."
Soon after the Peacekeepers joined with the nation of Athedia. During this time the Peacekeepers were the Special Forces of the nation, but an internal conflict, betrayal and mutiny, the Nation fell apart.
Afterwards Asid had gone on the run, and many of the other Peacekeepers were killed, gone into hiding, or left. This left only four remaining, Jet Tenjin, the man who took over the Peacekeepers, Dusk, Dart, and another, who was off-and-on active. During this time Tenjin had purchased a boat, and left the Inn in the care of his son. Jet, Dart, and Dusk moved the base of operations to the ship, the Silverbreaker. There was much hatred for Asid, since they believe he had abandoned them.
After about a year or so (about an IRL 1/2 a year) Asid returned, and resumed control of the Peacekeepers, took back the Inn, and returned many things to the state they were in before. Dart, Dusk, and Jet remained in their own unit on the Silverbreaker, while Asid had his unit with the base of operations back at the Inn.
Recently, there has been two prominent deaths in the Peacekeepers. Jet Tenjin was killed by an unknown, and un-captured killer. However, Jet managed to keep the blade of his killer, even in death. It has been identified as the blade of another Peacekeeper, though which one is still being investigated. The second of these deaths is Reillo, he was found in Lake Kanosek, the body of water just south of the Inn. It has been received as a random killing. All Peacekeepers now have been ordered to travel with at least one other person, and the be on their guard.
Dart has been placed in charge of Jet Tenjin's unit, seeing as how he is dead. Being such, he is also now the Captain of the Silverbreaker.
"I have my own ship to run now...let's not run aground."
Revelations
Some time later, it was revealed that Jet had moved into hiding.
Jet is alive and well, though his visage has changed, due to a magic spell.
This is the current arrangement of the Peacekeepers, as of this update.
Return of Kulien
This second encounter included Kulien's final death, and the revealing of his masters, The watchers. However in the fight to finish Kulien for good, Dart's best friend Merku Arine was killed. His body lies at the bottom of the lake in Laboo. His sword remained behind, the last physical piece of him. Dart was devestaed by this, since Merku was, after all, his long time best friend. Were the two any closer, they would have been blood brothers.
Prior to this Dart had become enrolled in the Valikorlian Military, so he'd have access to the library, to try and find his sister, and a home. Merku had joined the rebels, against the Valikorlians, and their Inquisition. This had begun to tear at their friendship. With Dusk under Kulien's control, and Merku and Dusk fighting, the group split apart. Kulien had Dusk believing that Dart had killed Merku.(before his actual death) The final meeting of the group before everything fell apart was in Stag Mt. in a cave Dusk was staying in. Merku had confronted Dart about his choice to be with Valikorlia, instead of his friends. Dart had tried to tell Merku that part of the reason was his friends, so they would have a place to stay in his Greendale home. Merku would not have it, and pulled his sword. Dart refused to take his, and merely blocked Merku's attacks. Dusk tried to break them up, and Merku ended up storming out. Dusk got mad at Dart for getting into a fight with Merku, and not taking the current business seriously.
Afterwards, Dart encountered another new friend by the name of Ryic Tyren. Together, Dusk, Dart, and Ryic finally killed Kulien off in Selnic, Imperial Dalmar. It was revealed here that Kulien was nothing more than a foot soldier, or puppet to a group of beings called the Watchers. An investigation into them was lead with the help of a Merchant, Jule Haggard. Jule turned out to be the man who created Kulien in the first place. During a dinner Jule was having in celebration of the final bit of Kulien's soul was destroyed, he revealed himself as who he really was. The food and drinks were poisoned and Jule had begun some kind of surgery on Dusk to make essentially another Kulien. Dart tried to pull his sword and kill Jule, but the poison was already very strong, and he fell to the floor, unconscious, before reaching the other side of the table.
"I thought he was dead? Oh well, no matter, we finished him off once before, twice makes us look better."
Hatred Towards Friends
Eventually the poison wore off, as it wasn't meant to kill. Later when met up with Dusk again, Dart exploded on Dusk. He blamed Dusk for everything bad that had happened to him. The two are no longer on friendly terms, and are just barely on speaking terms, as in, only if they must they will speak to each other.
"I wonder if I've made the best choice of my life, or the absolute worst. Is it possible to have both? Surely not."
Valikorlian Military Career
Dart as a Valikorlian
Dart had enlisted in the Valikorlian Military, as an Armsman. This is the third time Dart had been in a Military. The first when Celdin and Valikorlia were Warring. During that battle he was on the side of Celdin. They won and took over the Castle, and Greendale. The second time was when he was a Peacekeeper for Athedia. An betrayal and mutiny had destroyed them from within. Now, he was enlisted with the newest empire of Valikorlia. The first and foremost reason was for access to the records of people coming through Greendale, and other Valikorlian territories. Dart was searching for his sister. He had thought she was killed at the same time as his father, but later found that she lived, and was traveling the world. The second reason, as aforementioned, was for housing. Dart was tired of sleeping in caves, under trees, beneath the stars, etc. He also wanted a place for him and his friends to call a home. The final reason is the income. Doing the odd job just couldn't cut it anymore, and he needed some income.
The home he had purchased was a two story house, with a basement. The basement is used as a lab for an Alchemist, Edward VanDrake. The first floor has a kitchen, and a sitting area with a couch and a fireplace. The second floor had a bedroom, with a large bed, a fireplace, and another couch. Near the back, in another room is a small library. Not too big of a house, but enough for Dart and his friends.
IC Title: Dart Eriseiken, Armsman of (Valikorlia)
Full Title: Dart Eriseiken, Armsman of (Valikorlia), First Greendale Regiment, First Company
During his entire military career Dart and Dusk have enlisted at the same time for the same armies. Dusk however, after helping Dart find the records of his sister soon after dropped off the active duty list of Valikorlia. He is still enlisted, but not actively.
As of late Dart's focus has been on more of a Military role.
"I have fought and killed for money, and been called a criminal. Now I fight and kill for money, and the country, and I'm a hero. What more has changed, besides the imperial crest on my clothes?"
Celdinite Rebellion in Northpoint
Official Report of Northpoint Campaign: (only 3 of 10 parts)
"The Northern Campaign Reports
Tales of the Valikorlian Soldiers and Their Valiant Deeds: By Lieutenant Nicholas Zimbalter
Captain Warren MacDarl did not allow his men to take cover from the siege engines' assault nor the crossbow fire. He instead led the men and women of First Company in a daring charge that broke through the enemy barricade. He bore your battle standard at the front of the charge and used it as a beacon for the enemy. He drew enemy fire onto himself, suffering multiple wounds from bolts and taking a bolt for an armsman to ensure that the charge was successful. It was, and the enemy siege engines were captured.
The captain rallied the troops but was shot through the chest by a ballista bolt. He stood back up and showed the indomitable spirit that surely lives within all of our armsmen. Last words: "It is better to die for Valikorlia than to live for yourself." I humbly request he be awarded the Orb of Alber for leading the charge and inspiring the men to win this battle, despite being outnumbered.
Armsman Dart Eriseiken received a grievous wound from a crossbow to his [right] shoulder. I removed it and he refused to leave the field of battle, and instead fought on despite his injuries. I humbly request you award him the Justiciar's Cross for the courage and determination he put forth to bring these rebels to justice."
Dart's words as Lt. Nicholas Zimbalter asked him to go retreat and receive treatment: " I will stay and fight on, or die like the Captain." With that he picked up his sword with his left arm, and fought on best he could. He later received treatment, and soon after healed fully.
Dalmarite Military Career
Because of the Templars, and the King being gone, and general lack of other things, Dart resigned his commission in the Valikorlian Military. He traveled to Dalmar's capital city, Selnic, still in his full Valikorlian armor, and was eventually permitted to join after conversing with Captain Mikhail Gurvachnikov. His knowledge of the Valikorlians is and has been used to protect the Dalmarites. It is a primary reason he has been placed to gate duty at Selnic.
His Greendale house has been placed in the care of Edward VanDrake.
Dart's title as of now is Imperiat Dart Eriseiken of (Imperial Dalmar)
"I've lived with those men. Fought with those men. Ate, drank with those men. My friends died with those men. Now I ask for the opportunity to protect against those men. For those men have become barbarians."
Another Door in the Bloodline Closes
On a sunny day, in the middle of Snowcrest, Dart was walking about, with all his armor on. As he passed through a town he saw that a woman was being attacked by two men. It so happened that this was something that Dart could never stand, and this was definitely no exception. He ran up and called after the men, and as they looked at him, distracted, the woman ran. This caught the attention of the men again, and they chased after her. Without haste, Dart followed. The men caught up with her in an open field, covered with a blanket of glistening white snow. Dart, with his armor, was a bit slower, and by the time he caught up with the men, they had resumed attacking the woman. He knew she was bleeding badly, though did not see, but the crimson red tint to the snow around her gave it away. He pulled his sword quickly, and attacked the men. They quickly moved back and looked at him. He was wearing his Dalmarite Armor, and they apparently didn't want to mess with a Dalmarite, or their government, so they ran away. Instead of giving chase again, he sheathed his sword as he ran to the bleeding woman laying in the snow, face down. Removing his gloves, and kneeling down, he rolled her over to try and size up her wounds, which were all deep, and fatal. He thought it was a miracle she was still breathing. And that's when he looked into her face. He immediately recognized her, and it sent a cold shiver down his spine, like someone had dug a frozen dagger straight through his armor, and deep into his back. His heart skipped a beat. He was looking at the dying body of his own sister, presumed dead when his father was killed, and whom he had searched so long for, when he learned she was still alive. He reached up and took his helmet off, letting it drop to the ground beside him. Tears were already streaming down his face, and he couldn't speak out of sheer shock. She was still conscious, and although blood filled her vision, she knew who this man was that had come to her rescue. She knew it was her brother, who she had heard was looking for her. She had heard that a blonde haired man, with brown eyes was looking for her, or rather, someone fitting her description. As she knew of no other man meeting this description, she assumed it was her long lost brother.
"D...Dart?" She barely managed to whisper out.
"Yeah...yeah Kate, it's me." He managed to stagger between his tears. "But you need to be quiet...save your strength..." He brushed a bit of her now bloody blonde hair to the side. She knew she was going to die as well as he did, but he didn't want to hear of it, or think about it.
"Dart...it's been...so long. I...I can't..." She trailed off. She reached a hand up to touch his cheek, but it fell back to her stomach. She hardly had any energy left. He put his hand in hers, and squeezed lightly,
"Just hold my hand Kate...The pain will go away soon..." He began to sob harder. And she managed to pull out something from her clothes. It was a badge. Their family crest. She put it in his hand as she took her last breath. Her eyes closed, and her grip on his hand loosened, as his tightened on hers. He leaned over her and wept. His only remaining family had died, and he was the only one of his bloodline left. He took in a long breath, and as the icy air filled his lungs it cause a sharp sting. He didn't care, or really even feel it. His heart was destroyed. He had not only lost his best friend, but now also his only sister, and remaining family member.
A few days later, with his head hung low, he walked into Laboo. His sister's body hung limply in his arms, and he had a shovel with a rope attached slung over his back, his helmet attached to his belt to one side, his gloves and sword on the other. As he walked through the forest his armor clanked with a resounding noise. Soon he came upon Lake Laboo, and slowly and gently laid his sister's body down. He took a few steps and let his helmet fall again. he detached his sword from his belt, and threw his gloves aside. He took the shovel off his back, and stuck it in the ground. He removed his chestplate, and let it drop with a loud clank. He pulled the shovel out and began to dig a grave.
After some time he stopped, as it was quite deep enough. He sat down by the body and spoke to it, as if his sister was still there listening. "Kate, this is where my best friend is. He was killed awhile back, and he's resting at the bottom of the lake. You would have liked him."
With that he picked up her body and lower it into the fresh grave, recovering it with the displaced dirt. "Goodbye Kate..." He picked up a stone and carved into it, "Katelyn Eriseiken", and placed it by the grave.
He then picked up his equipment and walked back to Tower Town, dropping down on his bed, and saying to himself, "What do I have left? I've lost my entire family now, my best friend, and my closest friend I have...had left, I hate now, and he's disappeared again anyway.. All I really have left is this house...and all the things in it. All that remains for me is my books, my writing, and my ale..." With that he moved himself up the ladder to the next floor, and sat at his desk, a stack of books, some paperwork, and a full mug of ale stood infront of him. A representation of his life he thought...and that's all he had left. He quickly drained the mug, and shoved the papers and books to the ground in anger, and laid his head on the desk, as the tears began to shed once more for his sister...
"I grieve for my sister, for my father, for my mother. I also grieve that any children I may have will never know their strong, proud grandfather, their graceful grandmother, or their wondrous aunt. I feel that the lives of my passed family were never fulfilled without the lives of my children. And vice versa."
Another Continent and A Coma...
Weeks later, Dart once again sat at his desk, his books and things still adorning the floor, and another empty mug sat to his left. Unknown to Dart, someone had entered his home, and began to climb to the floor he was on. The man climbed the ladder and stood in front of the desk. Dart looked up to see Dusk standing before him, although he merely grunted and returned his face to the wood. Dusk was worried for Dart, although Dart had some vendetta against Dusk. As he stood there looking at this shell of the man he once called a friend he spoke, "Dart...I heard the news...I came as fast as I could, but I was on a different continent. You shouldn't be doing this to yourself."
"Why not?!" Dart exclaimed, "Why shouldn't I? What've I got left, hm? What? Not Merku, not...my s-sister."
"Look at yourself, Dart," Dusk tried to reason with him, "Would your sister want you to drown your sorrows in alcohol and tears?"
"Don't talk like you know my sister, Dusk," he shouted.
"You're right, I didn't know her, but I bet she'd hate to see you like this."
Some Time Later
Dart and Dusk had made up, and their adventures continued.
Soalis, Faros, and the Order of Eros
Soalis
Soalis, a very powerful magus, had been a thorn in the side of Dart in his friends for quite a long time. Many battles, and supposed victories led to Soalis actually becoming more powerful than ever. He was eventually killed, but his death is not yet entirely confirmed.
Faros and the Order of Eros
Faros Arine, the father of best friend Merku (Dart did not know this), was the leader of the Order of Eros, a group established long ago to help maintain the balance of mana in the world. Faros was manipulating the entire Order, and eventually everyone was following blindly enough to obey his every command.
Just prior to the revealing of this corruption in the Order, Dart had joined, as his family had been part of it for some time.
As soon as Dart realized what was going on, he stood up to Faros and the Order, and was branded a traitor, as was anyone who followed him. This was triggered when he and other Order Knights were sent on a mission to find some evil doer who was hiding in a small village. Or so Dart thought. As soon as they arrived, the Order Knights began to question the villagers about their allegiance to Faros, and began killing the innocent civilians. At this point Dart Struck down the Knights, but let one live to return to Faros. Thus Dart was now hunted by all the Order Knights spread throughout Kharlia. This was quite a change for him, given his bounty-hunter past.
Five Years Later
As Dart sat in his home in Tower town, he was thinking. Five years. It had been exactly five years since that day. The day, the hour, the moment. Five years since Dusk had been captured and sentenced to death, on a 5 year death row. Five years since Dart had battled Ryic Tyren on the peak of Mount Staghorn. Five years since he was forced to kill his fiend Ryic, who had been corrupted. Five years since Merku died...since Katelyn died. Five years since this hell began.
But that was all in the past now. With the Divide, Dalmar crumbling, and his friends gone, Dart was in bad shape.
Dusk was eventually rescued from his captivity, and the corruption of the Order of Eros by Faros.
"It's been five years, and you still wear the same, beaten old clothes? My friend, I am taking you to see the tailor in the Capital. You must leave the past behind...and besides that, that old cloak has a putrid stench."
Joining the Ignis Fatuus
Dart, no longer wishing the life of constant battles, decided to become a mage in the Ignis Fatuus. His magical abilities now outnumber his physical ones, making him a true mage.
Dart can often be found on the island of the Ignis.
Faros and the Order of Eros Revisited
With Dusk rescued from his impending doom, together Dart and Dusk rallied with all the Peacekeepers, and began to attack important bases and high-ranking officials of the Order of Eros, which Faros had renamed after himself, thus making it the Order of Faros. Dart led his group, which he called the true Order of Eros, and eventually killed Faros, ending his corrupted control of the Order. When this happened, Dart took control, and merged his group with Faros', whose soldiers had begun to see the light, but could do nothing about Faros. So Dart was now the Grandmaster of the Order of Eros, but he insisted that he would only remain so until the Order was rebuilt, and ready for it's own leadership.
When the time came that the Order could safely lead itself, Dart left it almost completely, becoming an adviser, only to be called upon in the most dire of circumstances, though he was called upon much more than he would have liked. However, eventually the Order left him behind, due to his repeated refusal to aid them, since he believed they would be better off to learn to depend on themselves, not him. He did not really care though, as this was how he wanted it. This eventually proved to be a wrong decision, as some time later, another corrupted man found himself in power. This man however, had more than just the power OF the Order...
Edward Dante and the Order of Violet
This man, who was later revealed to be Edward Dante, had power over the Order, or rather, it's members. Some form of magical power, as he could rewrite the memories of others. This power required Dante to touch the person, and since he was so insistent on shaking Dart's hand, or to lay a hand on his shoulder, Dart refused to get close to the man. His past experiences mad made him very cautious of these kinds of people.
Dante had renamed the Order as the Order of Violet.
In the end, Dante was found out and killed. His power over everyone was broken, and the Order once again was in shambles. Dart was asked to lead once more, again until the Order could run itself. Disgusted that they could allow such a man into power, this time, Dart refused. The Order has more or less crumbled down upon itself, but some loyal persons remain, keeping the Order alive and, for the time being, uncorrupted.
Empire of Valikorlia Vs. Ignis Fatuus& Durandal
Due the the Empire going on another anti-mage run, some important things were exploded, important people were capture and rescued, a war has emerged between the Empire and the Alliance of Durandal and the Ignis.
In this, Dart (obviously) sides with Durandal and the Ignis.
The Maverick & A Book
The Maverick
Dart, Dusk, Rokon, and others have pooled together their collectives wealths and have funded a ship.
Dart is a high-ranking crewman on the Maverick, and is a barkeeper, with Dusk.
The Maverick is a trade-ship.
A Book
Dart has recently written his account of the ongmund explosion of Dalmar.
The book is called A Recounting of The Ongmund Explosion and the Great Divide.
Disappearance
Around the time the Infinitum arrived, Dart began to tell his friends that he had to go away for a journey. After exorcising a possessing spirit from Dusk's body, and having Dusk's own soul return to it's body, Dart left a final message to his newly alive friend telling of an old plan that he was going to act upon. Dart has not been seen since then. No one, even Dusk, even Thanatos himself can find him.
"I have to go now, my friend. I hope that we will see each other again, but...but if my plan is successful, that may not be the possible...if I fail, I fear it is definite that we will not meet again. Goodbye."
Reappearance
Dart's friends had continued to search for him, until on one random day, he reappeared on the Ignis island to Gabriel Vander...literally. There was a bright flash of light, and Dart's voice, it seemed in the distance getting louder shouting. After a moment, the light faded, and Dart could be seen taking a knee, merely saying "Hi Gabriel." and asking for a drink of water.
Dart had decided to inspect the new addition to his Tower Town house, before revealing it and himself to his other friends...but while he was in the process of this, Dusk and Rokon came into the underground meeting room, poisoned. Dart emerged from behind a hidden door to find them...Rokon already passed out, and Dusk, seeing Dart, believed he was merely a hallucination from the poison, then promptly passed out after Dart had said "Hi, old friend." After this, he carried them into the newly added larger cave area just beyond a hidden antechamber, and cured them, and explained everything to them.
Dart had been out adventuring, when he was, by some unknown means, pulled into another realm, it seemed identical to the Mortal Realm, but he was invisible and incorporeal to it's inhabitants. It took Dart months to figure out how to get back to the Mortal Realm, but once he did, he was able to shift back and forth.
The Peacekeepers Revisit
After showing back up, Dusk, Dart, Rokon, and Asid reorganized the Peacekeepers. The foremost three were made Colonels, and given command over a certain portion of the new Peacekeepers. Dart was given command over the 'Vanguard of Mana'.
