Dontien Arthur Walte (Windcross 29th, 33 PF -) also known more often as Dontien Arthur Kil'rahel was the bastard child of John Walte and a Drow lady named Naik'uu Bayron. His existence was debated and even John Walte was skeptical of his existence until he received a letter from an orphanage which told him of a mysterious hooded Drow who told them Walte was the father. While this is what he's known best for, Dontien also has interest in the sciences and alchemy. He has also proved himself to be a proficient marksman and knife fighter.
History
Born on the 29th of Windcross in the year 55, Dontien's very existence was thought to be a rumor. The rumor goes that he was the bastard result of a drunken moment between John Walte and some Drow lady which seemed unlikely. However Dontien's first few years were some happy ones with Walte and a drow lady named Naik'uu Bayron. Among his happiness were tidbits of sorrow as the couple was always arguing over Walte's unfettered behavior. Dontien recieved tutelage from both his father and Renova Kil'rahel who taught him important aspects of philosophy, mathematics, and of course science. When Walte died a slow and painful death, Dontien was with Kil'rahel and Bayron in the Dragon's Belly Inn. After Bayron disappeared he was raised by Kil'rahel alone.
Kil'rahel and him lived in the Dragon's Belly Inn until it was bought out by Smarth and then held by Elros. Then they lived in the wild. For awhile Dontien was trained by Friedrich Strauss in a number of subjects, including combat. Once Strauss was hung, Dontien learned to fend for himself since Kil'rahel disappeared. He became a young treasure hunter and reportedly got in a couple of scuffs when he was called a thief instead.
Personality
Dontien has been described by those who've met him as adventurous, brave, and proud. Though those who've spoken with him in a prolonged discussion record him as being intelligent, well-spoken, and witty. Dontien also has been known to steal from politicians and give unto the citizens indicating a sort of Robin Hood Complex. Despite his good upbringing and such, Dontien was reported to have expressed emotions typical of the drow. He had an intense paranoia as well as an innate hunger for power. Though it is likely he suppressed these urges and attempted to manifest them in more benevolent ways, it is even more likely that often his drow lineage would shine through.
