Family and Friends
Elwena (Nindermil/Astaurogon) Stillwind "Mama": Ella is very protective of her mother, particularly after she stumbled upon Elwena's journals. Well aware of the personal turmoil the woman has gone through, Ella still feels like she could have done more to salvage her marriage with her father, Stellazio. Her deepest wish and dearest dream is to see her parents reunite and stay together. But as years go by with but a short visit from her father, Ella has started to set this aside as a fairytale. It has been thrown into stark reality by Elwena's marriage to Arthus Stillwind and subsequent impending birth of her stepfather's child.
Stellazio Astaurogon "Daddy": Stell is very much Ella's role model, even though his presence in her life is somewhat erratic due to his duties as a dragoon. Ella thinks very highly of her father, that is a fact. What isn't so apparent is the start of a bit of resentment towards him, due to her mother's journaling of past events, namely the Sleeg affair. The anger is mostly due to what her father didn't do rather than what he did. The dark draconian that had attacked her mother while Elwena was pregnant with Ella, the rampant drunkenness; if there was ever a history that needed closure, it was the legacy of the Astaurogon name that needed redemption.
Arthus Stillwind: Stepfather and husband to Elwena. Ella has respect for Arthus and owes him gratitude for helping her mother muddle through the wounds left over from the past. As it stands, Ella is resolved never to call him her father.
Cirdan Astaurogon "Bro": Ella has vague memories of a grumpy preteen who watched over her as a younger child. Cirdan has been missing for a long time and though Elwena has never given up hope, Ella has pretty much shelved the tender ache in her young heart for her older sibling.
Arin: Ella doesn't have much of a bond with the elven commander, though she enjoys tormenting her just as much as the older redheaded Hakor.
Michi: Ella thinks of her mother's best friend as an aunt. A rather fun aunt who Ella knows has many adventures.
Terran Rennatta: Terran-pirates is the first official pirates Ella has 'slain'. She even received her first 'booty' from the tall Lerhynian. Laying claim to his bandanna, Ella proudly wears it and will never...ever...let it go.
Venoch and Krahm: On a certain adventure into the wilds of Laboo (without her mother's consent of course...), Ella came upon an odd couple. A young dark-skinned tiefling and a rather large orc shaman were gallivanting in a field. The boy was doing much of the gallivanting. Ella 'stalked' her new prey and ended up befriending Venoch. They vowed to fight against evil in the future. Ella left with a bead from Krahm's hair. She has yet to put it in her hair, afraid of what her mother would say.
Metaro Glyn "Birdypirates": While the young Ipeiros was staying at the Seanchanni castle, Ella had some fun scaring him. She's dubbed him Birdypirates and is looking forward to more encounters.

Story of her Life
Ella was born in the autumn, right after the defeat of Sleeg. Stell and Elwena were just barely reconciled, but the infant knew no lack of love in her growing years. Ella grew into a precocious youngling, always ready to create some mischief and disobey her mother at every whim.
Around the eve of her 10th birthday, Ella had a near-death experience. Elwena had been called away to the clinic on an emergency and had left Ella under the care of an adolescent sitter. This was a fateful decision as said sitter was being wooed by another young adolescent boy. Ella was left practically unguarded and what worsened the situation further was that her mother's workroom door was left ajar. Sneaking in, the young elf looked around and started tasting and smelling things. She picked up a colorful mushroom and decided it looked like candy. Within ten minutes, the sitter found Ella in a writhing coma. Within another twenty, she was at the clinic under her mother's care. From then on, Elwena would take her daughter everywhere with her.
For the next two years, Ella would grow a bit more, engulfing herself in the lore and legends of the sea and many myths of pirates. One day, she picked up a rather nice stick and decided that it was time to make a name for herself slaying pirates. Everyone, from the lofty Hakors to the lowliest Seanchanni guard was a potential pirate. Life was good. Her father would drop in from time to time and give her a new dolly or a pat on the head. If she was really lucky, Elwena would take her to Ganelon.
During one such trip to Ganelon, she slew her first honest to goodness pirate. Terranpirates was a formidable foe, but in the end, she got his headband for sparing his life. It took awhile for her to claim her booty, but in the end, the headband was hers.
