Personality

Eugene is a mute clockwork engineer hailing from Selnic. He does not fight but he does enjoy watching others fight. He finds it a entertaining experiment to determine what caused one person to win over the other.

He puts his clockwork apprentices over everyone else, over the years he has become a father figure for them.

Usually Eugene is a nice man, willing to help other people out.

Objects

Clockwork Gear: Anything Eugene will ever need for clockwork inventions or repairs are kept in a rather large backpack..

Skills

Advanced Clockwork: Eugene is a master of clockwork and has the mechanical expertise to make nearly everything if an idea should ever arrive to his head. He is limited in his creations by the use of a boiler so many of his inventions are large and bulky.

Flaws

Mute: Sadly for Eugene, he was born mute. He does not have the ability to speak.

Background

Youth

Eugene Jones was born into a poor Selnic family during the reign of Imperial Dalmar. His family worked hard to provide for themselves and Eugene assisted them by making revenue by fixing various mechanical instruments for other Dalmarites. Eventually he became well known in the slums and his skills were highly sought after.

Eugene taught himself how to read and write during this time.

Adult

By the time Eugene reached full adulthood he was employed in the Dalmarite Siege Factory as a head engineer. He began to recieve many books from Bridgeton about a revolutionary new science and engineering process called clockwork. He took instant interest on the subject and learned much from the books.

Then the Viith-Sos invasion occured and Eugene joined the Dalmarite Resistance. A key objective of the resistance was to establish a world wide network of spies and intelligence - Eugene was assigned to Bridgeton as were nearly 150 others. Most resided under ground in the complex sewer network, a select few (including Eugene) lived on the actual bridge. They were instrumental for the toppling of the Viith-Sos reign.

When the occupation ended and Dalmar was reestablished another order came to the intelligence network on Bridgeton - they were to remain there and spread the Dalmarite culture and blood to Bridgeton. Eventually Bridgeton would be annexed into the Empire through consensus. So Eugene and many others remained in Bridgeton and followed their orders. They took up jobs within the city and began to marry the Bridgeton widows who lost their husbands in the war.

Eventually the plan was successful - Bridgeton willingly joined Imperial Warholm and the citizens were happy. Eugene returned to Port Wolfe to be reassigned to another job.

Elderly

Eugene is now an old man who is currently mustering resources for the Warholmite colony of Tockton.
