Personality

Almost never seen with a smile, Galileo is, and always has been a man of seemingly endless lament. He speaks only when spoken to or when neccesary. Despite being a near exile of Kharlia, Galileo's knowledge of what a civilization should be, drives him towards his lawful and morale way of thinking. Despite this, a lack of knowledge of Kharlia's history keeps this Half-Elf from choosing sides in nearly any dispute. In terms of race, he is color blind. In terms of hierarhy of any kingdom, he is ignorant of the term royalty.

Equipment

Sole Wolf: A sword forged, and given to Galileo in honor of his birth, by his own mother. Not much is known of the Sole Wolf. The day of his mother's passing, Galileo took upon this gift, as he began his journey for a new life in the civilizations of Kharlia. During his time in Tower Town, the blade was entrusted to Joe Romane, and was fortunate enough to be blessed. It now resonates with Holy Aura. Taken by the Drow, and currently. Fairly claimed by the scourge ranger Auv'ryndyr after his dread lord enslaved Galileo.

Sierhiet's Mana Saber: A weapon made from a failed enchantment, combining the elements of Fire and Ice. In an effort to accomodate his new found interest in magic, Galileo attempted to devise this weapon. Fairly claimed by the scourge ranger Auv'ryndyr after his dread lord enslaved Galileo

Boltwinder: A classic revolver he carries as a back-up. Fairly claimed by Dread Lord Dedrion Lirdvyr after he enslaved Galileo.

History

Childhood

Galileo Sierhiet was born on the outskirts of Kharlia's central continent. Ancestory wise, his roots are shrouded in myth. As it is, he has'nt even the name of his mother or father. As far as he is concerned, the woman who bore him is, and always will be called, "Mother". As for his father, Sierhiet was never given the oppertunity to meet the man. This left Sierhiet with only one person in the world; his mother. From what Gali remembers, she was a beautfil woman of grace, and vigor. A strong woman, who lived off of the land of Kharlia as a lone blacksmith. In truth, Galileo and his mother were a form of exile from the rest of Kharlia's civilizations. "Mother" believed that the constant waring nations, and its corrupted people, could not be trusted. Shortly after his birth, Gali's mother had brought her child to the wilderness of Kharlia, in an effort to raise him in a neutral state of mind, away from the corruption and false morals of the "civilized" earth. Sadly, the day would come when "Mother" could no longer protect her son. Galileo's mother would suddenly die of a mysterious affliction. Barely hitting his teenage years, a young Sierhiet would have to watch as his mother began to dissipate. On her death bed, "Mother" would give to Sierhiet the "Sole Wolf", a sword made in honor of his birth. -Legend- has it, "Mother" constructed the weapon while in actual labor with Galileo. It was originally to be sold to support the child, but due to unkown circumstance, Sole Wolf was kept from such a fate... As Galileo took upon the sword, he was given his mother's dieing wish; Live. With that, Galileo would leave his home and mother, never to return again.

Pre-Flood Sierhiet

Empyria

After several days of travel, an ambitious Sierhiet would finally come upon the civilized land of Kharlia. Life for Sierhiet would take a dramatic turn, as his world was turned upside down, as he absorbed the ways of the land, which his mother had so earnestly kept away from him. Galileo would soon find himself in many adventures. In earlier years, Galileo was a neutral young wanderer, traveling the land in an attempt to reclaim the this lost culture. His first friend, and sometimes seeming enemy being the late Drakus Syncath, almost an alter ego of Sierhiet's, who'm he met at the fairy pond of the Pre-flood Laboo. The two would rival each other in their travels before long, always seeming to cross paths in the most unlikely predicaments. Galileo would also befriend the likes of Aroken Zoratari, during the days of the Valikorian rebellion. He was even present for the man's execution, as a rebel leader... He would befriend a then young Verde Serates, Kulimbor Elphin, and also the late -One Eyed- Nekaido Yoshin. So many great men would cross Sierhiet's path. Each with a purpose of their own, and a story to tell. It would be sometime, until Sierhiet would finally begin to find his own. During his time in Empyria, Galileo would find a place of refuge. He would begin to start life anew, in the pressence of his new friends, even preventing an assasination attempt, and rescuing a kidnapped late Princess Alexis Melvar. However, not too long afterwards, Galileo was actually chased from, and politically exiled from the nation, for reasons unknown. Rumor has it, he was involved with an affair with the princess...

Lerhyn

After a failed attempt at life in Empyria, Galileo would turn his attention to the deserts of Lerhyn. Starting from near scratch, he would join the Lerhynian army. In due time, he would work himself up the ranks, eventually becoming a Legionnaire under Valcrist Nelidean. Rumor has it, he was to become the leader of new covert-ops based squad in the Lerhynian Army. It is at this time, Galileo would find himself in a position most undesired by the one he called "Mother"... Galileo had become a statistic, unknowingly going against the practices of his mother. Time would pass as Galileo's time with the Lerhynian army would lengthen, until one faithful day. Lerhyn had assembled a ball of spectacular proportions. Slated to attend, Galileo had ironiclly decided to take a walk through the outskirts of the empire. Reflecting on his accomplishments, the now Legionnaire would reminisce of his past, and the future he assumed would befall him. That night, on his way to attend the Lerhynian Ball, dark clouds of roaring thunder would hover accross the sands of Lerhyn. Without warning, winds of the storm would pick up, enshrouding the unsuspecting Sierhiet in debris and sand... Galileo was never heard from, or spoken to again in the Lerhynian Empire.

After The Flood

A dazed and confused Gali would awaken under a tree in a mysterious Oasis. With his head throbbing in pain, he crawled to the available water supply, gazing at his reflection in awe. His skin was torched in a near permanent tan, and his hair had taken on a shade of resilience. It had also grown, spectacularly. Rubbing a knot on the reaches of his cranium, Galileo had determined what had happened... he had either slept the past 44 years, or a bump to the head, just like the one he was experiencing now, had knocked him into an amnesiatic state for this long of a time. He had been roaming the high reaches of the desert, untainted by a flood he knew nothing of, surviving off of instinct instilled in him by his "mother", and his childhood living as a near exile in the outreaches of Kharlia. All of this, but not knowing who'm he really was, or of his past. With that, Galileo would rise to his feet. His eyes fixed on the new-world he had awaken to. Unaware to Gali, his past life, was lost. It would appear, he would have to start all over again. Several days would pass, until he would once again come across civilization. Galileo would stop to find himself upon a building, not familier. Gazing upon the sign raised above the building's entrance, he would read Dragon's Belly Inn. With that, Galileo would enter. The next chapter of his life, soon to be determined.

The Inspired vs. The Valikorlian Empire

Several days would pass as Galileo would only begin to get a feel of what Kharlia had become. Many nations had fallen, some of his friends of old had long died off, and he was once again lost, as if he had just started the quest for civilization he had begun many years ago. Galileo, seeking to learn more of the world would wander, eventually meeting the likes of Rufus Manaborn, who'm had offered Galileo a job of becoming one of the The Peacekeepers of Asid Mjolnir, a group of underground mercenaries working behind the scenes to quite literally, keep peace between the new nations of Kharlia threw any means neccesary. However, this idea would soon be de-railed after Galileo would take upon a job request from Caedril Rossil, Magister of the magic academy, Ignis Fatuus. A water spirit had been tormenting the floating isle for some time, and the Magister had requested mercenaries as assitance to handle the issue. After quite an adventurous journey through the water caverns of Ignis, Galileo and the others had defeated the water spirit, reclaiming the caverns. A few days would pass before Galileo would meet with the Magister again. Lost, with no purpose what so ever, Galileo would decide to enroll in the academy as a means of using his time to learn magic, and to educate himself on the history of Kharlia, which had eludded him in his 44 year "sleep". It is here Galileo would befriend a young Thanos Apostolos, a then fellow student of Sierhiet's. After several days of learning earth magic, Galileo would halt his practices after realizing the bending of mana would weaken oneself physically. Galileo would look to his sword, Sole Wolf, not wanting to abandon the only connection he had to his lost mother. With that, Galileo would resign himself as a student of Ignis, becoming a Peacekeeper (No relation with Asid's "Peacekeepers") of the academy instead, until he could find a way to balance the two practices. Coincidentially, at this time, the Church had just passed a law prohibiting any persons of Kharlia to practice magic, making Ignis Fatuus a direct enemy of the country. Galileo had found himself entangled in a war. Despite this, he chose to stay with the academy, arguing that the Church of Valikoria had imposed on the people's free will. A True Neutral, Galileo could not accept the idea of a super-power, such as the Church, doing this. He took upon his sword, standing side by side with his new found allies Apostolos, Manaborn, and his newly found close friend, Peterson Summers to fight for the freedom of the people of Kharlia. Only time will tell what will become of these brave souls.

  • "Liberation" of Lerhyn

Sierhiet would get his first taste of warfare during the attempted Liberation of Lerhyn from the Valikorlian Empire. Aided by the Forgewrought of Durandal, the now so-called "Inspired" would land upon the lands of Lerhyn only to be challenged by Pro-Valikorlian, Lerhynian citizens. Blood was shed, and the Baroness of Lerhyn, Pamina Calidon along with her loyalists would charge the collection of The Inspired with the slaughter of their citizens. With this, it would seem that Lerhyn had chosen its side in the conflit: Side by side with the Empire. As one could imagine, this of course would come as unsettling news. Sierhiet was now to face his former nation. He rushed into battle on the front lines, side by side with the likes of the Forgewrought. After a hefty fight against the odds, Galileo was actually captured and almost reduced to a P.O.W. However he escaped during the ensuing blitzkrieg of the Ignis Fatuus, narrowly escaping the destroyed government building of Lerhyn and meeting with the academy a few days later. That day, he had made his decision to cut all former ties of the past. If he was to exist in this time anew, he would start from scratch. Several days later, he developed Ranpu-Ken((Sierhiet's Mana Saber)), a symbol of his future, as Sole Wolf would be the symbol of his past.

  • Defending Gatling Flats

A few weeks ensuing the battle of Lerhyn, Galileo would find himself as a guard of Gatling Flats. Days would past and the lumber camp would go unoticed until scouts of the Empire would come across The Inspired's new base of operation's. Not to long after this, Gatling Flats was attacked by the Empire. Now as a new found battle-earth-mage, Sierhiet would find himself once again on the frontlines, and with a decent field advantage in the depths of the Flat's mines. He and the other members of The Inspired would defend the mines for as long as possible before making their escape on the newly built forgewrought super battleship, The Conclusion. During his escape he would come across a woman of the opposing side, Arwanewyne Aldenshield accompanied by the revered Paladin Joe Romane and his Luccian soldiers. On the other end of a catwalk which coincidentially, Sierhiet destroyed trying to cover his traps, sat the crew, fairly injured beat and injured. It is here were Galileo would make a move which would set his life in a new direction. He offered his hand in assistance towards the Valikorlian's. The only one who'm had the strength to progress was the woman, Arwane. With that, he took the woman rushing to escape the deteriorating mines, bringing her to the Ignis Fatuus as a "guest" rather then a prisoner of war.

  • Betrayal?

Days would past and Sierhiet would find a new friend and liking to the woman, Arwanewyne. They shared their ideals and experiences as opposing sides of the war, realizing the commonicities they shared. The woman had actually been cursed; potentially turning into a monster when provoked. Sierhiet shared her pain, and promised to assist her in finding a cure. However this friendship would come to an abrupt halt as Warfoged officials would attempt to take the woman as a prisoner of war, arguing that because she was taken upon their ship, she belonged to them. Many individual attempts were made to free the woman by the friends she made upon the island and off, including her "mentor" John De'svantour of Spir. However the man was sadly captured himself and taken hostage by the Durandalites.

The day had come, and the Durandalite Lieutenant, Bromium had personally come along side the Mercenary, Brock Conaway the Giant and a few officials to reclaim the woman. Galileo took upon his sword to defend her, branding himself as a traiter to the Durandalites. A gunfight would ensue upon the dormatory roof. Assisting himself that day, Peterson Summer's had taken a near fatal blow from Conaway, as he was chucked from the roof of the building. In rage, Sierhiet sent the man through the floor in defense, however miraculously the giant had risen unscathed. After a bout with Kristian Snowbeard the mercenary, Bromium, and the giant, the battle had been halted by High Counciler Shival Felwind. The Forgewrought left, but had vowed to kill Sierhiet in the ensuing days, along with anyone who had accompanied him, for treason. During the conflict, Arwanewyne had managed to escape herself.

In fear for his and Arwane's life, Galileo fled from the academy meeting with Arwanewyne and Joe Romane, who had returned to reclaim her. Their, a discussion would unfold as they explained their ideals and thoughts on the war. It was then that they decided to mediate upon the ensuing battles, vowing that neither side should win. Both were tyrants, and both must be stopped. Galileo also kept true to his promise of helping to find a cure for the woman.

  • Redemption and Tower Town

Some time would pass, as Sierhiet and his comrades continued on the run. They would find refuge in the home of Joe Romane, as Galileo continued his training, commuting from Greendale to The Laboo Wilderness on a nearly daily basis until one infamous day. Galileo had stumbled across the home, empty and void of his allies. He would soon come to realize, the Paladin Romane had taken his leave to Tower Town. Apparentlly an unprecedented slaughter had taken place their, and his assistance was needed. As for Arwane, her were abouts had been kept unknown for some time. Galileo would wander the eastern continent in search for answers. During his travels, on a memorable trip to the notorious Dragons Belly Inn, Galileo would meet child hood friend, suspected to be dead Aroken Zoratari II. Emotional at first, Sierhiet would retain himself finally given closure of his past as Zoratari became proof in the flesh. With that, Galileo would continue on, a new man, more sure of himself then ever before.

His travels would take him to the remnants of Tower Town. Meeting the now Baron of the establishment, Joe would inform Sierhiet of incidents of vampires, and Arwanewyne's connection to them. It appeared she had been captured once again, and sired by Arthur Nightstalker. Failure would seem to fill his mind, as Sierhiet was made aware of this. In response, he'd leave the blade Sole Wolf, with the paladin, as it would be blessed to help fight the evil of Nightstalker.

A few days following, Sierhiet would return to Tower Town, at the opening of their tournament, apparentlly an event developed to raise fundings for the deteriorating town. Their stood Brock Conaway, as standing Champion. Ambitious for a rematch with the tyrant, Sierhiet would join, battling his way to Conaway himself. Little did he know, Conaway himself would become manipulated by forces of the Olcas Mearog. Fortunatlly, as a story similar to David and Goliath, Sierhiet was able to find the extent to the man's overwhelming strength, and narrowly defeat him. The day following, Sierhiet would return with Conaway's tomahawk, as proof of his battle. He was awarded 10,000 kerous along with title. Champion of Tower Town.

  • Defeat and Retreat

Upon his waiting, Sierhiet's initial plans would be cut short as he traveled to Lerhyn, in search of Arwane. He'd find himself upon the very land the Vampric Lord hid. Accidentially he'd come across the sired Arwane, assisting her from an almost inevitable demise against the creature J. As he attempted to persuade her to escape with him, Arthur would come to her aid immediatlly. The two decided to settle things upon the Lerhynian arena, and although Sierhiet visually had placed more hits upon him, the Vampric Lord somehow came out unharmed. Depressed and defeated, Sierhiet would make his way back to Laboo, accepting his failure. It is here, he would remain as the war continued and ended, heartbroken.

Starting Fresh

It would be sometime before Sierhiet would see the likes of his allies. He'd return to meet Joe Romane, retrieving his blade of lineage, Sole Wolf. It is here, Romane would inform him, although the war had been over, their battle against the Culmination had not. With his newly blessed Sole Wolf, Sierhiet would take upon his sword once more, vowing his revenge upon those who started the war, and those who'm had taken his friend away from him.

  • "Dreams

With multiple failures at life, scarred upon his history, Sierhiet would find the will finally to continue on once more, returning to his roots of scholar. More then 2/3s of his life had been lost forever, and Sierhiet was determined to reclaim them somehow, or atleast make up for lost time. During his time in waiting for the battle against the Culmination, he would track upon a somewhat mental renaissance, in which he'd rediscover his ambition to create, and braintstorm many concepts, one in particularly the ideal airship. Originally, The Ierhiet was developed simply for Sierhiet's traveling needs. As a wanderer, he craved for easier and quicker means of travel, and thus The Ierhiet was developed, starting off simply as a dream,. However, shortly after realizing his earnings from the Tournament at Tower Town, the ambitious Galileo would begin to devise a way to make his dream a reality. He would soon remember his time with the Inspired, and devise such a scheme... risk his freedom by venturing to Durandal, and paying them for the construction of the airship, or find someone else who could do the deed.

  • "A Threat to Mana?

Sierhiet would make his way for Laboo, continueing the development of his airship, whilst' awaiting the next ride for Durandal, with new found friend Set, the Lost Beadra. It is here, he'd meet with Dusk Requiem, originally assumed dead. It seemed his friend had somehow been revived, an on a mission to defeat a man by the name of Kulien Felgard. Apparentlly, the man had intentions of whipping mana from Kharlia, (See Dusk's wiki for detail)and was in need of assistence. Sierhiet would heed the call, detering his plans for Durandal temporary to assist his friend.

  • "Alaeron's Proposal

During his time in refuge, following the dismantlement of the Peace Keepers, Sierhiet would find his way crossing paths with ally Dusk Requiem once more. It is their, Dusk would approach Galileo with the ideal of an exodus from the very nation they had attempted to justify and cleanse. Alas, the ideal in which Sierhiet could only dream of would seem to be shared with his peers. This, was an offer Sierhiet would not refuse... shortly afterwards, the young idealist would disappear from the face of Valikorlian soil for some time. (Please refer to Alaeron for further details.)
