Personality
Ishtar will not hesitate to speak her mind nor back down from something she believes in. The only people who can leave her tripping over her words are her father on occasion and Terran Rennatta. Due to her upbringing, she can be a bit vain at times though she wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone. When faced with hardship, she can become withdrawn, though if forced to take action she will do whatever is necessary to get through it. Ishtar is very interested in ancient times, ruins, relics and the like and will become borderline obsessive if given the opportunity to explore or be around them.
History
Born in the settlement of Lerhyn to a merchant and his wife on the 15th of Frostfall, Ishtar grew up relatively wealthy and on the up and up with the noble court. In her younger years she was quiet and so would tag along quietly with the neighboring children, specifically Jaleera and Esmée Mikhail.
Relationships
Father
Her relationship with her father, while not exactly rocky, tends to be strained at times. She frequently is left in charge of his shop while he handles business which not only
bores her but causes her much grief when having to deal with hagglers. Her father tries to control her every step in life and so she often sneaks off after dark to spend some alone
time, usually by the ports or in the market. He also has a strong dislike for the young Terran, frequently chasing him off when he comes near his shop, causing Ishtar and her father to argue a bit. When Ishtar was packing to run away from Lerhyn, she was caught by her father who attempted to talk some sense into her about him but to no avail. When she left Lerhyn, she left an angry father behind.
Jaleera and Esmée Mikhail
Having grown up together, she and the sisters were relatively good friends though out of the two, she was a lot more acquainted with Esmée. Ishtar spent most of her time in her father's shop though when she could get away she usually tagged along with the two, reading a book and keeping to herself. When things went sour between Jaleera and Terran, Ishtar's friendship with Jaleera faded. This was mostly due to their lack of seeing eye to eye on the matter, she felt Jaleera was not sensitive to Terran's feelings. Ishtar would continue to be friends with Esmée until her departure from Lerhyn with Terran to explore the mainland.
Terran Rennatta
Ishtar has known Terran nearly as long as she knew the Mikhail sisters, though they were never particularly as close, partially due to her father chasing him off for stealing or breaking things, and partially due to his feelings for Jaleera and friendship with Ahmet that he was busy with. They would see each other periodically over the years till Terran finally took off for a while, leaving Ishtar with only her fathers shop to keep her busy. During his absence, Ishtar became aware that she really relied on seeing him and without someone like him to break the norm, she was frequently very bored. They remained mostly acquaintances through the years and when he returned from his initial trip away to find his Aunt, they ran into one another by chance in the ports and the two shared a drink and that was that. Since then they would meet again on several occasions though it was purely platonic and despite his track record, Ishtar's crush was seemingly one sided. After another disappearance during her absence tending to her father's business, the two were reunited and after speaking for a while she decided to go along with him back to the Mainland to escape the boring life of the sand trap that is Lerhyn.
