Scissors

History
The name of Scissors belongs to both the blade and the spiritual beast. This weapon was regarded as an obscure myth, retold amongst very small circles. Rumored as a weapon that was "nomadic". A blade able to wash ashore or be dug up from the ground across various locations, wherever the will to fight, defend, and/or murder was potent. Part of the rumor was that Scissors was not always a blade, but a weapon that would always befit the overall character of whom it sought out. When such an owner would die in battle, or lost the will to fight, the blade would eventually become curiously misplaced. Vanished, so to speak. This process would rinse and repeat for years.
Along with possession of the weapon, any wielder will become slightly schizophrenic. And a ghastly looking beast of reptilian suggestion, red and white in color, would impose on their realm of dreams. This is immistakably the spirit of Scissors. A savage monster that detests the acceptance of defeat, above all else. He would endlessly egg his wielders on, as long as they had a pulse, legs to move forward, and an arm to swing. The concept of abandoning what one was fighting for, with ample means to continue pursuing it, is something that Scissors finds absolutely unacceptable. Often times, Scissors finds murder to be beside the point. Only a victory held firmly between one's hands is important.
Description
Scissors is an ornate bastard sword, almost entirely black in color (hilt included) save for the edges, which are a grayish red hue.
Abilities
Mercy Edge:
The intensity of the wielder's desire to kill dictates the blade's ability to kill in itself. Should the sword cut someone, with a huge lack of murderous intent, the edge will become incredibly dull. And any wound dealt, serious or no, would heal most swiftly. Should the opposite be true, such as being wielded against creatures without a soul, the edge loses any sense of mercy. Less momentum is lost on impact, and tougher surfaces are less likely to withstand a blow.
Manifestation:
In it's own subtle regard, the spirit within calls out through it's medium. A substantial swing in combat will leave behind the echo of a twisted roar. Under sunlight and moonlight, the shadow of this weapon will tremble, bend, and twist with Scissors' desire to be free of his prison. In some cases, the sword itself will tremble from anticipation in one's hand. Someone of keen magical senses would be able to detect an unstable and greedy spirit from the blade itself.
Born For The Fray:
To express gratitude unto it's wielder, Scissors shares its own pool of strength. Becomming lighter and more wieldy. Heightening the wielder's own instinctual style of combat. Fighting manuevers will come more naturally to the wielder than usual. In a sense, the brain is less cumbersome in battle. Only an intense trust between Scissors and his wielder can unlock this ability. And it seems to stay with the person, even after Scissors may have left.
