Explanation of the document itself
The Account of Celdin: Its People and History is a short book, written ICly by Eian Smarth during his time in Alberea, and later at the onset of Alber's rule in the newly formed Valikorlia. It's taken from his own personal account on the founding of Celdin, his own rule, and from accounts as a spectator once he left. He has other peoples quotes and thoughts as well, much like those of Jon Alber, who was in part responsible for the dissolution of the nation to become the basis to re-founding the Third Empire of Valikorlia. IC the book would be much longer than presented here, there was just no reason to write a full book and instead, it shows enough to represent for a whole.
IC availibility of the document
It was first published and distrubted in Alberea, and was something Eian wrote merely to occupy his mind on the off times during his stay in Alberea. A man of literature and history himself, felt the world was in need of his personal view on the history of Celdin, and how it had fallen due to his absence. It has recently been reprinted in the Empire with a new introduction, as a tool to teach students in universities in Esthras and more so in the County of Kanoshire.
The Work Itself

I'd like to firstly dedicate this book to the men who have died in honourable duty while serving under my tenure. They fought for a just cause, and one that won't ever be forgotten, one that helped carve the now glorious empire of man we have today.
I write this, Eian Montgomery Smarth, in response to the rather dreary collapse of a nation with such bright hope and promise. One that if had been kept under my fledgling wing would not have gone to the dogs as quickly. For all civilizations do not last, it is merely a grace period of man, a façade until we once more fall to simpler and more honest times of bloodshed and tribal thinking. And I should first state that the title of this book is perhaps not entirely true, as what lies within these pages is not only the rise and fall of Celdin, but that of Voltad, Warholm, and other principalities near the area which all shaped the eventual outcome. My hope is that the youth of the Empire hear my words and walk away more understanding of the way of things. To put a end to such foolish acts as accounted in parts of this book and bring forth an even greater era.
The Revolution
After such great men as my father had laid their life on the line in the Viith-Sos War. For awhile, as the natural state of man, barbarism ensued. It was humanity in its purest form, fighting for the top spot. And it was glorious. The people of Valikorlia's second Empire had been sundered from the dragons attacks, their homes left to ash, and their people scattered. Few good men collected themselves as leaders, others just charlatans who had fooled the common folk into rising them on high chairs, regardless there came a time of rebuilding.
Celdin is ruled by Three
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: Vergoth, Geks guy Ahdrid, and Runith formed it, made me as, eian, general. Was meant to be split into 3 different communities all helping another towards the greater prospects. Each serving their own area, and coming together lending a hand where needed. A feudal based system, under 3 counties, but ruled by an oligarchy. Sadly vergoth and ahdrid were the only ones who saw it through. Runith soon left, for whatever reason IC, OOCly was innactivity.
East vs West
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: numbers abuses a teenager to make the church look bad. all out religion vs law, attempt on vergoths life is done, law won, vergoth stepped down. Ahdrid went inactive soon after.
Come the First Citizen
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: eian controlled armies, amassed during the east vs west conflicts, surrounded capital, taken over, ruled tyranicaly, used de lionnes as figurehead
The South Stirs
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: eian goes to investigate shiridian and other bandit nations to claim them as part of his celdinite empire. This in itself triggers the rise of the bandits to seek the haggaslist assassins, which turns over bad for them as they are soon subject by them.
Rise of the Urpsurper
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: cam comes as arolas usurps me while im gone for two weeks, i left stragen in power, but he left val around that time, no one knew who was in power, fair enough, i make eisensmarth. Bandits in the south start to form balsica confederation.
Eisensmarth, The True Reign
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: i set up merc nation, have some of celdins population come to my side, majortiy of army stays and sets up lodging.
The Fool King
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: matrim as intern leader for arolas as he goes to find the sword of setengar, eian disgraces his leadership with alberea. Balsica collapses and is soon reformed as Warholm, a haggalist based rule in the south.
Warholm Hindered, Bridgeton Blew
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: zurk comes in as united bandits and haggalists, eian plays both celdin and warholm, celdin isnt a threat, alberea and eian attack warholm, a major victory is won in what is now named albersbrade ridge, celdin comes in at the end, zurk kills himself, warholm collapses, in there undead dragons and spiders blow up bridgeton. eian is faced with warcrimes and seeks solace in alberea.
The "Peoples" Power
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: dylans guy, vasliv makes it almost a democracy deal, with him as prime minister, and arolas as a figurehead, doesnt last long as a large group of them tried to shave a dwarves beard and are pretty laughable. Sully's general without order disband military. Dwarves and Albereans rock them without even lifting a finger. broken up and disgraced. May move this in with decimation capping it.
Decimation of the Kattisimo Chancellery
I would put my own words to the end to this rather pathetic reign in the history of Celdin, but I believe my good friend Jon Alber stated it in his own words best.
"After Arolas One-Ear returned to power, religion became a method for the weak to control the strong. Damnation and incarceration were the price if one didn't stick to what was "moral" and "good." Men were asked to think with their hearts, but not their heads. Many injustices were wrought, not the least of which was forcing citizens to go to a Setengarite church lest they face One-Ear's guards. I didn't want to bring war upon a sleeping enemy, so I waited. I waited for the peasantry to wake up. Instead, the fool stepped down from the throne, and the peasants formed a senate with a some sort of chancellor at the head. One-Ear sat on a puppet throne. That is when my cousins began to slay and shame the Khazad without provocation. Shortly after the first wave of crimes against the Khazad, one of the Celdin senators dared to torture a Khazad by shaving his beard and cutting out his tongue. The peasantry stayed silent.
Thus, I took my retainers and allied with the Khazad of Hammerforge in their mountain fortress. Thane Stonehewer(May he live forever) and I marched to Greendale, where we were met with swords and suspicion when our mission was merely to negotiate a peace between Khazad and Celdin before war broke out. Instead, they challenged us to battle. The fight was only stopped when Arolas One-Ear offered his ear as payment for the shamed Khazad. Arolas dissolved the Chancellery for its many failures, and set a nameless knight on the throne instead of a worthy count or lord."
Knight Fall
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: Fox's char (wihelm?) is made leader after Arolas put him in power after decimating kattisimo, he doesnt last long or he went inactive, i dunno. Voltad takes over with force. principle (the leader) is shrouded in mystery at this point.
The Principle
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: here i will talk about voltads rise to power, which was pretty underground but i had a spy under edwin wells in there, even got to meet the principle, they had taken celdin, literally just walked in and taken it. But soon crumbled due to zeta and clash forcing it to be dismantled. No actual IC reason. I may just suggest the principle himself, as even Oocly he wasnt fully formed, died early on after taking celdin, and they tried to keep the ruse up that he was around but ultimatley it fell. Anyway, after this I should also note, Soltus, the main face of Voltad joins Smarth after the affair.
Tarsonus See Fit
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: Crion becomes leader after voltad collapses, rumours he called it valikorlia, he wanted to name it that, and called it that, but no tags represented it, or any official tags anyway, majority still called it Celdin, and tarson doesnt have the lineage to enact it being called Valikorlia. Numbers, a spy/assassin takes out crions leader of his milary forces.

Celdin's Civil Strife
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: the only civil war of celdins with fighting, as east vs west didnt. Ebra had a hand in this, sully won
Charles' Council of Fools
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: they set up a divided leadership, sort of like celdin originally was, but inactivity caused ebra to controlling large parts by himself through the military, need to find out who the council was
The Mage King
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: river is remaining active member, so he is made king, but quickly goes into inactivity, he is noted as last king of celdin
Return to Glory
OOC for my own memory as Im writing this out: arolas ususprs again for a few hours and hands crown over to albereans, celdin and alberea unite to become valikorlia. Eian reutrns to Val.
