Darius Marcello III was a man brought in for treason, conspiracy, and regicide. However, soon after being brought in chains by Baron Eian Smarth, he escaped and caused a further reign of blood.

First account:

  • A pair of guards in the Valikorlian prison were making their rounds when they came to the cell of Darius Marcello III, criminal against the crown. They were both shocked to find the barred doors wide open, and the guards keeping watching were all dead. An alert was placed on the city watch to apprehend the fugitive, and bring him back to justice. Hours later, a family on a nearby farm would be found dead, their only horse with which they used to run their farm gone, the barn door wide open. The only survivor was one little girl, who could only tell the guards it was "The bad man from the posters" who had done this, and she said no more, traumatized into a catatonic state.*

Second account:

  • Soldiers on the trail of the fugitive, Darius Marcello III, would find a man tied to a tree along a dirt road. After untying him, and taking the cloth covering his mouth he told them he was a merchant, heading to the capital. He had met a man along the road. The man's horse had died, presumably from exhaustion and was looking for a lift. They travelled together for a little while before stopping to make camp. Before he could, however, the man had assaulted the merchant and robbed him of his clothes, wares, and horse, then tied him to the tree before riding off.

Third account:

  • While in the Ganelon, many passer-by accounts suggested late at night in a rather seedy part of town, Darius was seen physically and verbally abusing some of the girls from one of the local escort's den. When confronted by one of the guards for questioning on grounds of disturbance of the peace, Darius stabbed the man in the arm with a knife, slammed said guards head into the wall. This caused the guard to pass out, but when falling unconscious grabbed onto Darius' robe, spilling forth some incriminating documents signed during his tenure as head of the Inquisition. All papers, cloth, and accounts are held in the sheriffs department in Ganelon and were scribed not three days after the event by the local judge. Darius was last seen near the docks near Ganelon.

Fourth and final account of any known sightings on the Eastern Continent:

  • The accounts of this one is fuzziest as no one was left alive, but was brought to the attention of the Ganelon sheriffs department the following day by a trapper who stumbled upon the gory scene. While not a fair port like it is in the following months after this grisly disaster, then it was merly budding anew since the explosion of Oungmund deposits in Dalmar five years earlier had caused significant damage to many of the landmasses. Only two ferrymen, four sailors, and two guards where there. Most were suggested to have been sleeping at the time, as a quick knife slash across all their throats were present. Which bare a strong connection to the knife slashes used on the guard in Ganelon. The only notable difference to any of the murder victims bodies was one sailor having a holy symbol of Setengar (often seen on Darius' person) jabbed into the eye socket. Some suggest the man awoke just in time, but was quickly subdued before he could warn the others. One small sailing vessel was stolen, and all the coin on each of the persons. Alberea, and the western territories have been altered, but nothing has been brought up thus far.
