The Flood destroyed and reformed the entirety of the Valikorlian server in January of 2005. It is but one of several Cataclysms used to reform Valikorlia. Other notable examples include The Divide. It stands out as the most altering of all cataclysms occurring during player-involvement. The events of the flood begin the modern-day calendar system, as well, with the event beginning at 0 PF (Post Flood).

The Event

The actual flood event started a bit before the world itself was flooded. It began with Yutuca, goddess of creation who created the world, re-claiming most of Kharlia by creating great forests. Then rain that, when it hit the ground, made mana crystals; it was thus theorized that the rain itself was mana. Of course, people were too busy fleeing to higher ground to really care about what the rain was. Soon, torrential flooding had occurred due to the ceaseless rains.

In the city of Valikorlia, people were fleeing to the castle to escape the rain. In Lerhyn, people were running to the mountains to escape; even so, many did not. Within this period of time, three main boats had been flooded with people; a boat belonging to the orcs and Xundussa, a boat belonging primarily to the elves in the possession of Yojim, and the rope boat, filled with lots of other people. Many smaller boats were also present.
